Are you able to spare us an hour of your time?
This is what one such volunteer had to say having stepped up at Brooklands Museum in 2025:
“I volunteered to help out as a marshal at Brooklands for two reasons. Firstly I was staying at a nearby hotel so I could be there very easily on the Saturday and secondly I felt that I owed it to the club to offer my services for an hour or so in gratitude of the work and opportunity the organisers put into each and every event.
Now I have never marshalled anything in my life so I was a bit apprehensive but it wasn’t too bad and to be honest it made my day because I got to speak with every driver that day on their way in, it set me up for some great chats later on and it made a good meet a great meet.
All I’m saying is this, if you really are in a position to help out at a meet please don’t let the perceived pressures put you off, I almost did, and just go for it, it will really make your day!”
